Shingles Immunisations

Shingles is uncomfortable, and for some people can be very painful and last a long time.  About 1 in 4 develop shingles during their lifetime.  As we get older we are much more likely to develop shingles due to changes and natural weakening of the immune system.

The National SHINGLES vaccination campaign continues and includes patients aged 70 to 79 years of age.

People aged 80 and over are not part of the National Programme because the vaccine seems to be less effective in this age group.

One single injection will last you a lifetime!

If you are in these age ranges, you can book your appointment today at the reception desk.

Please call the practice any afternoon to arrange an appointment.
