What is physiotherapy?

Physiotherapists use a number of different techniques to help restore wellbeing to people following injury, pain or disability.

Physiotherapists have an extensive knowledge of human anatomy and physiology and are trained to evaluate and improve movement and function of the body.

They can treat conditions that affect people of all ages and social groups and have a role in preventing injuries from occurring in the workplace or on the sports field.

Why self-referral?
