Cancelling your Appointment

If you are unable to attend an appointment with one of the doctors or nurses, please telephone or use the link at the bottom of this page to cancel your appointment.

By giving us as much notice as you can you are helping us to make sure that someone else is given your slot.

When the practice is closed

Out of hours emergency cover is managed by Harmoni West Sussex.

If you require urgent medical attention when the surgery is closed, please telephone 01444 412280 to be reminded of their telephone number or call Harmoni on 0300 130 1313.

The doctor on call may arrange to meet you at the designated centre (Burgess Hill) or visit you at home if he or she feels it to be appropriate. Medical advice may also be given by a doctor or triage nurse over the telephone.

Text Reminding Service

We now have a text reminder service for our patients for everyone that has a mobile number recorded at the practice. You will be reminded 24 hours before your appointment.

Repeat Prescriptions

greenpillsIf you are on long term medication you will be given a computerised prescription. This prescription will have a list of your drugs attached and you should retain this to use when ordering a repeat prescription. Please tick the items you require.

Repeat prescriptions may be requested:-

  1. By post, enclosing a stamped addressed envelope if the prescription is to be returned.
  2. Personally at the reception desk.
  3. By putting your request in the box outside the health centre after the surgery is closed.
  4. By fax on (01444) 416943.
  5. By following the link on this page to the secure online form (you will need to carry out the simple one-off registration).

In order to avoid mistakes and ensure your safety, we do not accept requests for repeat medication over the telephone. In exceptional circumstances it may be possible to waive this but this must be negotiated with your GP or the Practice Manager.

Local chemists collect prescriptions from the surgery daily, so please indicate whether or not you would like your repeat prescription sent directly to the chemist of your choice or, whether you would prefer to collect it from the surgery. Please remember that there are certain medications that cannot be prescribed without first seeing the doctor.

PLEASE ALLOW 48 HOURS FOR YOUR PRESCRIPTION TO BE PREPARED
